BufferXone proactively re-routes bad or questionable data sent to Internet-facing Web and mail servers (such as Outlook Web Access [OWA]), among other gateways. Incoming data is funneled through Solutionary' intrusion prevention system (IPS), which creates "Alert" or "Block" flags. The customer selects when to move from alert to block mode (blocking traffic identified as maliciously intrusive).
Additionally, BufferXone gives the customer a new, protected Internet Protocol (IP) address that serves as a buffer by screening incoming traffic to protect the customer's real IP address, which is now protected. The customer then re-configures the firewall, so that only BufferXone-validated traffic reaches your protected server without affecting your network's bandwidth.
To ensure success, Solutionary operates geographically dispersed and carrier-diverse data centers with multiple power backup capabilities. Traffic is then pushed to the appropriate destinations.
